Nature Way (Wonderful Nature)
Wakama Ene | UI Designer & Graphic Designer | Tools: Figma & Canva

Company Overview:
Nature Way is an herbal startup company that specializes in herbal products and they are about to launch their first product called “Wonderful Nature”. The company desired to build a prototype for an app to help their brand and sell their new product and it was to be done in stages (login design stage, Dashboard Stage etc.) as a start in the design process of their app.
Problem statement:
The problem I was trying to solve was to create UI pages and prototype. I had to help create the frame work of a login page, dashboard page and create the prototype and they wanted the App to match their products brand scheme. This is an ongoing project that extends to other stages and pages that help to buy product, read herb blog post etc. We are well on our way there but the focus was the login prototype and the dashboard for now which was due to their budget.

Scope and constraints:
The Scope of the project were defined as follows:
The major constraints I had were proper budgeting for the project so we resolved to having the projects in batches so that it could be more affordable for them. Also the client didn't have a Graphic Designer so I took the role of that since I'm highly skilled at it.
Design Process & Solution:
Information Architecture

One of my favorite tools I use for Information Architecture is the use of site maps. I designed one and had several meetings with the stakeholders for clarity and guidance as regards to designing the application. We had several meetings till we were very clear with the perfect structure for the application. Then I moved on to wire framing.
Wire Framing

As my next phase of design, I made a couple sketches for the frame work of the application. I reviewed this with the stakeholders and each part of the sketches that didn't serve well enough purpose was re sketched. This gave me clarity and guidance for the design.
Visual Design

On this project, I handled a couple of roles which included being the Lead UI designer and graphic designer for the project. With the focus on the Users and also the goal of the project which was different login processess, inclusive of a "forgot password" scenario. Using the sketches from the frame work and the Information Architecture, I created high fidelity UI pages. Also, I handled the Graphic designs for project and laid out the colour scheme to fit their current product which is green and pink. I designed the log in pages and created the prototype for the company, so they can have a feel of the app’s flow and login function.

Conclusion
We delivered a very user-friendly App which stuck with the brands schemes, created a clear and balanced design with the organization of assets for a nice UI design and delivered smooth flow for the prototype leading from the login page to dashboard and other pages. New pages would be design when the next budget phase comes out.
What did I learn?
I learnt that similarity is very key in designing for users. This is one of the Gestalt Principles I used in this project.
